ABOUT
The SLIIDE adventure is above all, and like the entirety of this project, a human story, and here it is a story of Love since the brand was created by a couple, Aurélia and Yann. Both have in common a passion for outdoor sports, a love of the ocean and board sports, but also sharing.
THE STORY OF SLIIDE

Aurélia was born by the ocean, in the Basque country, Bayonne in 1979. Passionate about nature sports, in love with the ocean, she also practices board sports such as surfing and kitesurfing.
A liberal nurse, she is responsible for the “Sport Health” aspect of the Handikite Tandem activity. Indeed, this activity shows multiple therapeutic virtues and is completely innovative. Studies are underway to scientifically prove the benefits of the activity on children with disabilities, people suffering from chronic depression or in post-stroke rehabilitation. Aurélia coordinates the medical and paramedical teams working around the project, she also manages the administrative side of the SLIIDE brand.
Born in Marseille in 1976, Yann has been practicing board sports since the age of 5, windsurfing since the age of 8, and kitesurfing for 24 years. He is truly passionate, an autodidact who works on instinct and feeling. PE teacher, state-certified sailing and kitesurfing instructor, he invented the Tandem Handikite activity in French Guiana in 2014, where he moved in 2003.
Since then, he has put all his time and energy into deploying this activity in mainland France, overseas and all over the world. Its objective, "Make the Inaccessible accessible" so that kitesurfing becomes an activity accessible to all people who would like to discover it, whether they are able-bodied or with a disability.
In collaboration with the FFVL, it offers training in the practice of tandem kite and tandem handikite.
The creation of the SLIIDE brand is the culmination of thousands of hours of work, reflection, trials, failures.
Yann takes care of the development, relational and representation side of the brand, as well as the communication side.
